This is a demo we created to help explain one of the photoshop methods that we use to prepare art for screen print separations.

Setting up poster art for screen printing
PhotoShop Method 1

– Layer Per Color
– Light to Dark Print Order (when on light paper)
– Minimum 5-8 pixel trap stroke (while at 300 dpi)
– Reverse Paper Knock-out Method
– Eliminate unneeded trapping
– Solid Shape Trapping Under Dark colors when possible
– Descrease Layer Opacity to Check Trapping Overlap
– Key Image (usually last/darkest color, ie. line drawing)
